Assalaamu Alaykum lovies,
Today is bitter-sweet. On this day Japan has suffered yet another earthquake (7.1 magnitude). It's frightening to know that thousands of people across the ocean from me are in such a state of fear and turmoil. Let's all remember to keep them in our prayers and du'a. May Allah grant them peace from this affliction and may he help them rise above the sorrows of this life and be forgiven for their sins. Ameen.
Also, today is my mothers birthday. Alhamdullilah, she is 50 years YOUNG! My mother is the dearest person to my heart and I can't imagine having anyone better to have raised me and provided me with all the love and care she has given me these past 25 years. How can I possibly repay her for that? Nothing compares.
My mother has signed up on Causes to raise money for those afflicted by the earthquakes and tsunami's in Japan. Take a look here. If you can spare anything at all. . .the amount does NOT matter. . .please show your support. Allah has blessed us with so much in this life. Now let's use what he has provided for us to help provide for others, insha'allah.
