My Story (Part 3)

Assalam Alaykum!

I've had a request to continue on with my conversion story! Now that I'm feeling better and my class is over with I have more time to dedicate to my lovely readers :) By the way, I didn't fail my class. In fact, I got an A- in it!!! ALHAMDULLILAH!!!!! I was in complete SHOCK! LoL

Okay okay, here goes. Where did I leave off? Oh yeah, I put my Islamic studies on hold for a while.

So here I am living the "normal" life I'm accustomed to. Dating a new guy, breaking up with said new guy, and becoming very interested in another new guy. Ummmm, I think I have problems! LoL
Anyway, while I was visiting home in Sicilia for two months the summer of 2008 I became very good friends with a Muslim man. He was very interested in teaching me about Islam and I was doing my best to inform him more about Christianity. Through the process I became fascinated by Islamic beliefs I did not know about and when I got back to the states I decided to learn as much as possible. That Fall semester I took an online religious course where I met a Muslimah in my area. Before this meeting I had continuously prayed for God to send me a female Muslim in my life because, honestly, I didn't want to convert just because of what men were telling me and I needed a females perspective in all of this.
Me and the sister in my class exchanged phone numbers and decided to meet up in person one afternoon on campus. She is a niqabi and told me to look for the ninja walking around the Religious Studies building. We were off to a good start.
