Day Dieci!

Discuss your first love and your first kiss.

My first love, huh? I'm not sure this is a topic worth talking about so I will, instead, discuss when I first knew my husband was "the one" and our first moments together :) No kiss talking here!
So, as I've mentioned previously, my husband and I started getting to know each other online. Gotta love the internet!
We were friends in the beginning. In fact, we were both interested in other people, but we sure made each other laugh all the time. I don't think we ever had a serious conversation the first couple months! One day, about 3 months or so after first talking to each other, he was telling me about this girl he was interested in. To my big surprise I got JEALOUS! HaHaHa! No way, I told myself. This is not happening. He is ONLY a friend and he's in MOROCCO! This will only lead to heart break. . .
Well, now we all know that no heart break occurred! Yay me!
So that coming summer (2009) I flew over to Morocco for a 2 month stay with him and his family. He was going to pick me up at the airport. I'm not a fan of flying so I think my nerves for being in the air took over any nerves I would have had in meeting him for the first time. When I landed in Rabat all us Americans had to go in a separate line to talk with a doctor (I think that's who he was) about the swine flu! He gave all of us paperwork with phone numbers to contact in case we feel flu like.
After that long delay I went to grab my luggage and head out to the waiting area where my husband was waiting for me. The very first thing that came to my mind when I saw him for the first time was YAY! He's TALL! LoL I knew he would be taller than me, but I guess I did expect him to be as tall as he is. Also, I was thinking of how handsome he is. I got lucky!
The drive back to his home town was about 30 minutes so we got the opportunity to have good conversation in the very beginning. Alhamdullilah, everything worked out in our favor!

  2. Ameen Sara :) Thank you so much! I really appreciate your sweet words.
    Love and Sugar,
We got married after I went there. He got his visa and moved to Florida October 2009. I was in Morocco from June - August 2009. I didn't want to get married without my parents first meeting him and approving of him :) Have to respect the parentals! LoL
